Where do these exchange rates come from?+
Michael Prime Services refreshes rates every hour from a live market feed and checks them against a second, independent feed; if the two disagree by more than 10%, the suspicious feed is ignored. If the rates are older than three hours, the converter stops showing numbers instead of showing outdated ones.
Is this the rate I pay at checkout?+
Prices on Michael Prime Services are set by sellers in their own currency. When you pay in another currency, the exact amount and rate are locked and shown before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
Why is the naira rate different from the parallel (black) market?+
This converter shows the official mid-market rate used by banks and payment providers. Street or parallel-market rates can differ.
